Paris Hair Designs history

It all started at a very young age; Tammy spent her time cutting and styling all of her dolls hair. Once she felt she had mastered them, she went on to cutting her fathers hair in her mothers dining room. After a while , she started cutting her friends hair at school in the rest room, (the janitor was always waiting outside the door with a broom and dustpan for her to sweep up the hair). Once she graduated from high school, she felt it was time to put her talents to work and go to Beauty School. Tammy opened Paris Hair Designs in 1989. In 2002 she was awarded "Best Hair Salon" & "Best Barber" in 2008 she was awarded "#1 Friendliest Stylist & #3 Friendliest Salon in the Best in Bonner County. Tammy's resume includes: Hair/Make-up Artist for many Fashion Shows including Holly Eve for over 17 years. She has been involved with Film Productions (including the movie Mel-starring Earnest Borgnine) doing Hair/Make-up. She has worked with professional models (including Tina Toupes & Anita Hart). Her work has been featured in "Swimsuit Illustrated", "Carousel Action Wear" & "Dream Catchers Calanders". She has received the Best Make-up Artist Award". Tammy has always been active in the community as a volunteer for Sandpoint Junior Miss, Holly Eve Benefit, Look Good, feel better Cancer program as well as coaching local soccer and basketball teams with her husband Sam.

A Real Life Skills School

At Paris we feel it is important for each individual to discover who they are.

We all have our own strengths and weakness; once we identify these in ourselves, we can learn to make them work for us.

It is important for each individual to find their own style and learn to be proud of themselves and their own accomplishments.

At
Paris you will learn how to present yourself with a confident walk, poise, great posture, mannerisms and an “I love who I am” attitude.

Having confidence in your walk and posture will help you move with grace and ease. You will find that you will be happier from within and others will find you more fun to be with.

Class curriculum includes Etiquette; from cell phone, written correspondences to table manners. You will learn “Good manners” techniques: what to do in uncomfortable situations, as well as how to deal with rude or arrogant people.

Interview skills is an important attribute to have, you will learn many types of interviews and how to present yourself with confidence and poise. You will learn how to sit properly; which will make a great impression during your interview and in every day life.

We will work on Public speaking skills. You will find that after your training, standing in front of your peers giving a book report or speech will be a breeze.

Your training at Paris is designed to make you become a confident, self driven/motivated, poised, well rounded, happy individual.

Come join us, make new friends and become the person you are meant to be!
